Now this ain’t no *Laal Topi Wala *self confessed lonely Mujahid with few dozen YouTube videos. This is a member of one of two major parties in India, Chief Minister of Gujrat and the most popular Prime Ministerial Candidate for world’s largest demoracy - what does he think he’s saying? It seems like these Hindu Fundamentalists really cannot have an effect on the masses without mentioning Pakistan? Yet it’s the Pakistanis who get abused for having so called obsession with India. Yes, they are so obsessed that in a country most covered election in its history, no major political figure - from Altaf to Zardari, Imran to Nawaz, Asfandyar Wali Khan to Moulana Diesal and our very own Billy The Born Leader did not bothered playing the India card to rile up the masses. Given the obsession with Pakistan you find in countries like Bangladesh and India, I find Pakistan’s lack of interest in India incredibly remarkable.
What I find even more remarkable is majority of Indians unapologetic, unembarrassed, unmoving attitude towards such jingoistic tosh? You would think that perhaps like Pakistani counterparts, they’d bury their heads in their hands, cry, wail and sob endlessly and semi disown their country for producing such embarrassing moments.
Anyway, I hope Modi wins. Let the rat out of the bag.
PS: We all know the BJP tactics, they are like a much larger version of Jamaat Islami in Pakistan. Jingoist nutcases, whose claim to power is based on emotional blackmail of the masses. Mere fact that Modi is running around everywhere and a real candidate for PM should serve as a reminder to people that things aren’t gonna stay calm on the eastern border much longer.
Unlike JI, BJP is the second largest and influential party in India, they have a massive, massive electoral support and a huge vote bank. I wonder why Indians don't act so hopelessly depressed about this.
^ Yes, but unlike JI, they are not advising attacking Pakistan and go for jihad against pakistan either.
The last time BJP staged flag burning protests to call for a attack on Pakistan was just over six months ago.
JI is dying it's natural death. The Party has been on a steady decline for a pretty long time. The recent elections clearly proved that they have no solid electoral support and sympathy, and Munawar Hassan just couldn't be more helpful to the cause
India is no longer an election issue for us, where as the same is still not true for India.
The India crowd in blogsphere is quick to boast, make false claims and whine about so called Pakistan's obsession with India by watching that Red Hated looney (I bloody can't even remember his name) who is a hopeless nobody in Pakistani politics, but go absolutely mute when their Parliament and Prime Ministerial candidates out of habit openly and aggressively talk about Pakistan to rile up the masses and Hindu extremist crowd. Why on earth some Indians expect Pakistanis to act apologetic and embarrassed over that red topi wala is beyond me when they themselves have no comments to make on likes of Shiv Sena and BJP and other hate spewing extremist Hindutva parties. It's okay for BJP activists and Shiv Sena to burn Pakistani flags and to chant 'Pakistan Murdabad' in protests but the world must stop when his Highness the Red Hat (I bloody still can't remember his name) broadcast his self important prophecy of Pan-Pakistan.
The fact that even Pakistan most covered and most followed, most and perhaps the most popular elections, India hardly made it on the list of top ten election issues should send a strong signal of their unimportance to Indian politicians.
calm down. lal topi's comments are way more than this, he openly calls for 'hindu maarna' and has packed halls clapping. modi is only playing on sentiments based on realities of kashmir jihad. nothing inflammatory here.

Zaid hamid, and yes he is a nobody in the politics of the country.
I would be very concern if Modi comes to power..which he will. BJP's win looks quiet promising. Btw..what is this thread in Pak Affairs forum?..this should go to world affairs. This is not Pakistan's (our) business as to who would India choose to become it's leader.
Zaid hamid, and yes he is a nobody in the politics of the country.
Oh yes, Zaid Hamid, that's it. I knew it was Hamid something, for some reason I just couldn't think go beyond Hamid Gul and Hamid Mir. But thank you so much for getting me out of my misery, Ali.

Indians can whine and obsesses over Zaid Hamid's trolling fantasies for all I care, the guy is a nobody in Pakistani politics, he's not politically and ideologically aligned with any party, he's not a mentor to any budding politician in Pakistan, gets no prime time appearances in any major talk shows. He was no where to be seen in elections time, in fact there's been a significant drop in his popularity and the fact a person like me cannot remember his name just suggest how important he is in Pakistani politics. If his speech gets a round of applause than Shiv Sena's and BJP's mobbish Pakistani flag burning protests also attracts enough participants. So really it's getting incredibly boring to see Indians kicking a grand fuss about Zaid Hamid and lying through their teeth about Pakistani politicians' so called obsession with India while they're so quick to act so dismissive about hate spewing Hindu extremists/anti Pakistan groups like Shiv Sena, Hinduteva parties and BJP who clearly have presence in parliament and electoral support.
PS. I really don't care about what Modi has said, in fact, I think it might just work in Pakistan's favour if he comes in power. So he can be as inflammatory and insolent as he wants to to rile up the masses. I think the difference between Indian and Pakistani political sloganeering and culture is just fascinating in general.
. This is not Pakistan's business as to who would India choose to become it's leader.
wrong. he features regularly on a bunch of pakistani networks, and is the darling of the likes of “liberal” prime time host mubashir luqman. i dont know why you bring him up because you yourself say he is nothing like modi or is a politician, yet you are the first one on this thread to talk about him.
secondly i still dont see why you are so upset about modi’s comment - pakistan is still pushing terrorists actively into jammu. AK Antony has not done a thing about it while serving as the defence minister. Kejriwal has openly stated he has no policy on the matter yet. modi says he will do more, so why does this upset you?
