Artistic Gift

:salam2:

Well, we see some kidz r really expert in designing differents images etc., but we assume k they r just kidz so we don’t give fully consideration on their images. So, what I wanna say here just take a break and look what ur kidz is drawing. I’m sure he won’t gonna copy n draw the images but whatever he’s desiging we should appreciate b’coz this is a naturally gift (Artistic Gift) gifted by Almigthy Allah SWT!

Just give a moment to see ur kidz’s drawing. U’ll shock to see how and what he Draw. Its like a little machine (brain) generated (threaded) architectural desing by using multi colors, which never accrosed our mind.

So, if u see ur kidz hav this Artistic Gift, will u gonna support it or what?

Please share ur views

Re: Artistic Gift

My older daughter is a good artist. I don't mind if she chooses to pursue this hobby as a serious interest. She also loves to write...maybe she can publish books when she grows older where she can provide the illustrations as well as the words.

Re: Artistic Gift

My elder child seems to have interest with bold colors and I will appreciate it if she can continue it as her hobby in future.:)

Re: Artistic Gift

Absolutely.

Society conditions us to lose our inner passion. Conventional education and perceptions limit our horizons and creativity. It has been proven over the course of many social experiments that as we grow older, we become less creative. And this is more prevalent in Desi culture although its a changing trend. Most Desi parents cannot think beyond Doctor, Lawyer or Engineer and that's a travesty really. Although you can't blame them because they've been conditioned as such too. Imagine how many Pablo Picassos, Andy Warhols, Mozarts, Attenboroughs, Houdinis and what not we'd have in our culture ;) Its the variety that matters! So I'm just throwing out examples!

So please, whoever has kids. Let them do their thing. Let them be creative and express themselves however they want!

Re: Artistic Gift

I'm going to blog one of my favourite pieces of print ever! Its quite long so I've thrown it in my blog. It gives you so much to think about.

Re: Artistic Gift

Interesting n I agree :k: Although parents wanna their kidz should concentrate on his/her studies beside this so in real life they’ll can feed their’s family and gain a respectable position in society.

Re: Artistic Gift

I guess ur an artist too :hmmm: look at ya nick. Its awesome :smooth:

Re: Artistic Gift

Well that understandable. I'm sure every parent wants their child to have respect and be comfortable in life. But when they go out of their way to do that, they step on a lot of potential the child might have otherwise. There's examples all around us where creativity is respected and has actually made it possible for those talented enough to live a very comfortable and positive life. You don't need a degree to be respected or be successful.

Haha thanks! :) Yeah AlhamdliAllah my parents let us do what we wanted and ofcourse paid attention our education. But the best part was it never got in the way of our creative pursuits. All the siblings are doing their bit on the side one way or the other MashaAllah!

And I suppose I'm an artist amongst other things. I write, draw, sculpt, do photography, play dhol and have worked on hiphop on and off. Although none of these are a career, I still think my life is very fulfilling because I was given the freedom to pursue what I wanted. AlhamdliAllah! All thanks to my parents.
