^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

So I thought if we can have it in cafe, why not here

Welcome to Artaakhshri

Rule:
Start with a word that describes Art (or part of it) and give a brief description, the next person starts with the first or last letter of last word** in description.**

A fun and innovative way to get you to think and learn more about Art :biggthumb

I’ll start first:

Inspiration: Art can come from many objects around you which may inspire you and lead to a whole new world with new mixture of colors, thus creating something you may truly call your own.

Now you post a word that starts with O or N and describes Art at the same time. Next to it, write a sentence or two further elaborating that word and expressing yourself.

The word can be name of object or technique used in different fields of Art :k:

Orange
The color orange occurs between red and yellow in the visible spectrum at a wavelength of about 585 – 620 nm, and has a hue of 30° in HSV colour space. The complementary colour of orange is azure, a slightly greenish blue. With pigments such as paints or inks, a mixture of the subtractive primary colours in the proportion of 75% yellow and 25% magenta produce the secondary colour orange. Orange pigments are largely in the ochre or cadmium families, and absorb mostly blue light

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

Lightness: Lightness, in every field of art, is very important because it gives depth and distance to your work and adds mood to your work. Along with this, darkness is also important because it cannot be seen without lightness just as light cannot be seen without dark.

Lithography

In the graphic arts, a method of printing from a prepared flat stone, metal or plastic plate, invented in the late eighteenth century. A drawing is made on the stone or plate with a greasy crayon or tusche, and then washed with water. When ink is applied it sticks to the greasy drawing but runs off (or is resisted by) the wet surface allowing a print - a lithograph - to be made of the drawing. The artist, or other print maker under the artist's supervision, then covers the plate with a sheet of paper and runs both through a press under light pressure. For color lithography separate drawings are made for each color.

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

yellow

**yellow **is a primary color. when yellow paint and blue paint are mixed togehter, it makes green. yellow paint and red paint makes orange. yellow is also complimentary to purple.

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

Since the last word in Khumar's post is Purple, I would either do P or E.

Pattern: An important element in Art which, if combined with colors and shades of various kind, allows you to mix and match to create piece of work which you desire.

Khumar :>

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

i totally messed up the game :chupki:

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

It’s ok, keep going.

Just remember, we are looking at last word of description, not the actual word itself :k:

Re: ^^^ Artaakshri ^^^

Anyone wants to continue? :chai:

I’ll pick up where I left off. Read post #1 for details (rules etc). Be creative :smilestar:

Depth: used to give more distance in a work. The more shades and colors you use, the more depth you will achieve. Adding one object in front of the other will also give you depth in your work.

The last word is work so your word should either start with W or K
