We have plenty of art schools in Pakistan.
But there is no school that focuses on performing arts…like film, tv production, acting, etc.
why not , and shouldn’t there be one by now?

NCA rocks..!! as far as i have heard

seen from that comedy serial hmmm can't remember the name...its cast was quite similar to VJ & 3 bata 3..coming to think of them i really miss them..
the name of the serial is "Kollege Jeans" and it was reallly good....
NCA rox...but theres one in karachi also...Indus Valeey School of Arts & Architecture...they r much more into textile and tht kind of stuff..but their students r also pretty gud..
hmmm...NCA rocks?!!! It used to I am sure. But now it rocks to wrong tunes, if you know what I mean. I have seen many NCA students wishing they were in the Indus Valley school.
NCA just started a musicology department with Ali Noor's nana ji as its head. The people you see on Kollege Jeans and other NCA productions haven't had any professional training in acting or production. All of them are them are self-taught or through the notanKi thingy that they have going on there in the college.

Anyway, I wouldn't classify NCA or Indus under the type of performing arts college that I'm talking about.
I'm talking of a school only and only dedicated to performing arts in which the curriculum includes, but is not limited to:
classical dance
classical music
various other musicology courses, such as in electronic and techno music, european classic, etc.
acting
theatre arts
stage design
fashion designing
coreography
modern dance
ethnic dance
various technical film courses
etc.
