I totally agree. There are so many talented people here on GS. I think we should have an Art forum just like Image with subforums topics such as drawing/ painting/embroidery/etc

waisay poetry is not a limited category. Both art & poetry are the same things - just 2 different ways of expressions.

There is no question that Art is a large category -- in theory larger than poetry. But we need to see that an Art forum has a sufficient enough demand to justify a separate forum. I love art history and would find such a forum really interesting, but maybe it's best to post in Culture and see if there is need for a separate forum.

perhaps we can ask professional Pakistani artists who are GS users, to share their art work or info about their upcoming gallery events so that they are visible and supported.
also amateur artists can share their work through multimedia here by posting pictures of the artwork and a discussion on the theme and the subject matter as well as the medium used to prepare and create the art pieces can take place and they can be fully appraised.
competitions will be great like we do for the banners.
just some ideas.
