I love Art movies. Has anyone seen “Gol Maal” “Chashm-e-badoor” and “Katha”?
These are brilliant art movies with excellent comedy.

I dont know whats the criteria of an art movie. Is it more sexier with nude language and situations??
I also like clean movies Amol Palikar made they are just simple and soothing..
i remember “gol maal”…it’s a good comedy movie…and so is “angoor” based on “comedy of errors”…watch 'em if u can find 'em anywhere
Barysh: What made you watch Kamasutra,i think it is trash,if we are talking about womens plight ,watch any old hndi movie of meena kumari,mala sinha ,Nargis,or just about all 50 s movie will show women in subjugation.
Kama shutra was mira nairs all movie explotation of women theme ,i think she made kmashutra b/c of possiblity of sexual explotation scenes than anything else.Eeven as subject of sexuality,she didn’t show how indian womens sexuality different than victorian western women.
If you want to feel good forget kamasutra ,fire or earth or water ,modern indian women make these old stories as history,with no connection to the present.
watch any hanif kureshi s movie of paki in u.K.my beutuful launderette,east is east,my fanatic son,bandit queen from india (true astory) The other i dont like are : fire ,earth,salam bombay, Split Wide open.hyderabad boys,etc.

Have not seen the movie but read the original book. I was lucky with a 40 yr. old copy.
Funny detail ; On the first page it mentioned that it was only for doctors and psychologists.
