My nephew has Coelic Disease, which means that he can’t digest gluten…"This damage is caused by exposure to gluten (gliadin) and related proteins found in wheat, rye, and barley. Oats cause a reaction in some people." Reference: Coeliac disease - Wikipedia . So now we are looking for alternatives for him, and one of them is arrow-root. I’ve found stuff about it on the internet, but I’m just wondering what it is called in Pakistan, and if it is available there. Some think that it is what starch for applying to clothes comes from, but any info that you guys could provide would be awesome.
And as a side, could you guys also provide info on any gluten-free recipes and stuff that has ingredients available in Pakistan, more specifically Lahore. Or any place you guys know in Lahore that sells gluten free stuff. Thanks!
