Arrested TTP terrorists going to Jail “With special protocol”… getting beaten with belt buckles by FC jawans. but the reason i am posting this video is to have a look at hundred of comments posted by common people on the video. Almost 90% of them are anti-taliban and people getting relief. few years ago, i used to see far more pro-taliban comments on similar videos. this shows that tide has turned against taliban among common Pakistanis which is a very good sign.

I hate seeing anyone humiliated and beaten like that. Its uncalled for. We dont even know if they are genuine Taliban, but even if they are, we dont know what motivated them to join, what exactly they are guilty off, we dont know anything about them.
Punish them if they are guilty but really, its barbaric to beat anyone like that.

My first reaction was the same...that how do we know for sure they are TTP but then i also know that in that part of the world, the communities are small and everyone knows each other very well. people there know very well who has been shaking hands with taliban and is part of taliban set up. now if they are indeed TTP, i dont mind this treatment for these animals. yes i am not that civilized for these animals.
but regardless, people posting comments are not pro-taliban and that is a sign of relief.

Yeah, you have a point about the small communities... But, FC and police should be more professional. They shouldnt be encouraged to behave like this as it brings them down to the level of the criminals themselves. People wont respect the police (and by extension the state) if they dont see a difference between their behavior and that of the Taliban. The state is supposed to provide civility and order, not cater to our baser instincts. Scenes like this paint a negative image of the country as a whole.
Transporting such people shouldnt be a circus. The state should be above such things. This seems to encourage mob mentality.

Exactly. And we know Pakistanis generally respect institutions which are worthy of respect. Compare the attitude toward the Motorway police vs general Police. People try to avoid littering, speeding on the Motorway because they respect the police there, who are for the most part honest and professional.
