ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Saqib Jawad issued an arrest warrant on Friday against Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz while hearing a case filed by civil society members.
During the hearing, the investigation officer of the case requested the court to issue an arrest warrant for Abdul Aziz for investigation, based on a First Information Report (FIR) that was previously registered against the cleric at Aabpara Police Station.
Judge Saqib accepted the investigation officer’s request and an arrest warrant was issued, which will be followed by the police taking legal procedures to arrest Aziz for further investigation.

The non-bailable FIR was registered under section 506 (2) of the Pakistan Penal Code which states punishment for criminal intimidation or threats.

One small step in the right direction. Lets now go after all the other teachers of hate academy jaame hafsa and his buddies and family that my think like him or associate with him. Relentless pursuit of these xxxxx and execution is our demand.
If terrorism was a snake then make no mistake its head is your common mullah preaching hate in your local mosque. The terrorist with gun is easy to find. Terrorist with a mic is our biggest problem.

well we will see....i am a product of Pakistani society and know many dramas that our establishment is capable off doing. As of now i am a firm beleiever that this govt does not have the capacity or will to take tough steps against terrorism.
This may very well be an attempt to save abdul aziz by putting him in jail for few weeks to cool down peoples emotions and then let him go on the name of "no-evidence-available"
A govt who cannot shut down one madrassah in last 2 years.......
a govt who has a minister like ch nisar who has open sympathies with taliban and who yesterday declared that 90% of our madrassas are clean and have nothing to do with terrorism
a govt who cannot keep terrorists like malik ishaq and lakhavi in jail and let them go
a govt who cannot do anything about his own minister rana sana ullah who has open relationship with terrorist organizations

Abdul aAiz is a terrorist and anti Paksitani and one who cannot bring himself to condemn murder of children. His arrest cannot be compared with anyone else. He is a pathetic third rate pig.

The one should have been arrested was Munnawar Hussain of JI who said TTP was rightly fighting with army and they were 'shaheed' while fighting with army where as army people killed were not.

Agreed they should do that. They should try and hang anybody who supports terrorists and the murder of innocent people.
