Did you not feel any sort of attraction or even a tiny flicker of chemistry at all towards him when u met?? If you really want to fall in love and not just end up going thru the motions like past generations of our families often did you’d prob need at least some sort of attraction (it doesn’t necessarily have to be just physical) there in the first place.
Marrying someone you feel indifferent to might mean you never properly fall in love but you could still be content or ‘satisfied’ with your mariage.. Our mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers were encouraged to have minimal expectations, be grateful they even got a husband lol and be happy as long as their basic material needs were being met.. I don’t think it’s true at all that two ppl living together will always fall in love eventually, that’s a very naive way of looking at it imo.. more like they will be stuck with each other and either fall in love or just get on with life and make the most of it + this of course can and does work if expectations are kept low, which is of course what used to happen in the past..
