I said No right away because I felt that he was to religious and I was on the liberal side. He was a very quiet guy.. I knew this because he was my cousin. Later on parents told me how he is so decent and nice caring guy and I should consider.. got to know him a little bit during engagement period and few months later had our nikah..
did anyone have similar experience where they felt that they weren’t right for each other and then when got engaged felt differently?

the problem is i never see any problem in any guy...i mean i think anyone who has proposed me so far were normal (with pros and cons, like any normal human).
I am not married yet but i got this proposal few months ago of a guy who is interested in me.... I found his picture to be Okay... so he came with his family.. I barely see him few times when serving dinner... But i got to talk to his mom and sister... They seem very very humble and i like them.. My parents asked my opinion and i said do what you think is right for me...I dont care..Really i didnt care at that time because i was tired and had no hope left to find mr perfect... So i let my parents decide my fate and mashallah its been 3 months since we are engaged and will be getting married in summer insahllah.. i really like him...Even though we never ever had any romantic conversation, nor we talk alot on the ph... but i still like him.... and i am sure i will be very happy :)
