this thought stroke my mind after some friends asked me advices to convince their bf/gf that islam is best. i explain: i am a french convert, and i have two muslim friends who have bf/gf who are french, like me, but not muslim. So they asked me advices to help them convert those bf/gf because both of them plan to marry…love marriages.
i realised that in my social class, middle to upper, high education level, lots of muslims people are looking for love marriages. But at the same time a lot of muslim people are sticking to old fashioned arranged marriages…as a result the suitable partners for muslims on the love market is reduced, and as there are a lot of non muslim in the west, then chances are high that they will look for western people (even not conscioulsy) more than eastern out of fear to be dumped in the end by an eastern person who will prefer arranged marriage to please family, even after dating for long time.
so that is why i wondered if in the west, i mean desi settled in the west, arranged marriage was not a big incitation to marry non muslims

would you guys PASS that stage of itchiness about her language already..
noor, i would suggest u bring this to molana.. cuz he would guide u better...
i've been in situations where girl would find herself with a nonmuslim guy (she being muslim) and vice versa.. few of them are happily married, with angry family/ancestors behind them..

I’ve always believed that converting for the sake of marriage rather than converting because you actually believe in the religion is somewhat a hollow thing to do.
The most you can do is ask the other person to genuinely learn about the other religion, so that they can make a fully informed choice on whether to convert or not.
