In democracy, “banning” a political party you don’t like is never a solution to anything. What would you do if the tables turn around and tomorrow someone puts a ban on certain secular parties? So setting such nonsensical and dangerous precedent must be avoided at all cost. Playing politics of banning is a hallmark of weak, frightened and and immature democratic system.

Yes, legitimate political parties cannot be banned in a democracy, but terrorists supporters can be banned. The concept of free speech is not absolute in any country, and slander, hate speech…supporting terrorism, and treason, etc., are not parts of protected speech.
