Arms!

other than lifting weights are there any fun exercises that are good to tone the arms? dance helps me a bit but if i do weights in addition to that i’m afraid i’ll start looking like some of those female weight lifters that end up looking a bit like long haired men, 'm not going for this look  :stuck_out_tongue: :

Re: Arms!

Light weights dont make you look like He-Man. If you use light weights with high repititions...you will not bulk up...just burn fat.

Re: Arms!

ok so 20 pound weights on each arm, is that what you use?

Re: Arms!

Weights that let you rep till atleast 30 should be good enough, 10 pounds would be alot, try out with 4 or 5 pounds on each arm.

Re: Arms!

^ thanku for the help. i think i have 8 pound weights somewhere hidden under my bed, i was always too lazy to use them, i'll give them a try and if they're too much in the beginning,n i'll go down to the 5 pound weights....wish me luck :)

Re: Arms!

nothing tones the arms:(

Re: Arms!

aww why so glum philo!
you have to make sure you are toning your bicep and tricep as well as your shoulder areas aswell! everything goes together because if one muscle group is weaker than the other you wont get the definition your looking for.
I'll post the list of exercises you can do in a bit :)

Re: Arms!

Doing the housework...all that scrubbing/cleaning/cooking/vacuuming is bound to tone up your arms :D

Okay seriously, light weights are good for toning...you won't end up looking like a female body builder.

Re: Arms!

You wont end up looking like one of them unless your taking in a massive amount of calories, and it doesnt happen overnight anyway!

Lighter weights, more reps and less rest periods. And you do need to keep going up with the weights when they become too easy.

Sort your diet out as well.

Re: Arms!

Re: Arms!

Arms can be trained by smashing them through water or plunging them into buckets of water… if you want to up the resistanc eyou can replace water with sand… :stuck_out_tongue: It’s perfectly possible to have skinny arms or evn arms that lack bulging muscles but can still pack more power than a steam hammer… :dhimpak:
