Are You Stuck In The Past?

Well… when driving on Long routes, I feel that I must have some cool music from a few years ago when i was in Pakistan … !!

And that is because it actually brings back all the beautiful memories that we made with friends and of all the incredible times that we had. It is almost like having good company.

So… Are you stuck in the past too??

i think any song playing will remind one of something...

this is a really daggy song... * bohot khoobsoorat ho..* but my brats and I always had it on loud (yeap definately tooo loud) when driving.. and my brat in the front seat would do all these tragic bhangra moves.... gosh i miss those times :(

This song from "my best friend's wedding" sound track... " forever and ever you stay in my heart and i will love you..." the one by the cast.... God I can hear me laugh when it plays... we used to sing it together and clapping in that typical odd way....!!

And the junoon song... man mera bolay meri pyas bhujha....ooooo mera mahi .... aa gaya.

We had a good few versions of that.

It sure makes you nostalgic.

Yes, am definitely "stuck in the past" as you put it when it comes to American rock or pop music (the 80s). Same applies to desi music (70s onward) but I like to listen to the latest desi tunes as well.

Another one definitely stuck in the past.

So many memories, so many songs, so many emotions. I love music for giving me the highs and the lows.

yeh...big time :(

I am stuck in my parents time  Rafi, Lata, Mukesh, Asha, Kishore oldies :k:

Degas yesh they were kewl..plus old ghazals

as far as how much of a past I am stuck in depends on the mood.

after the hell of a commute once i get to the heavily wooded road leading to my home with trees forming a canopy over teh road..nothing is more relaxing than listening to Dean Martin, Sinatra and Tony Bennet.

gloomy rainy mornings always result in the cure and depeche mode on the cd player. sunny days could be 80's katrina and the waves 'walking on sunshine" "breakout" by swing out sister, old wham, duran duran, spandau ballet and billy idol tunes.

and summer fridays often start with beach boys, jan and dean, beatles.

night time driving. much to begiums dsimay is kraftwerk, depeche mode, and assorted electronica stuff that ppl in genberal would not know, like depth charge, along with drum nbass.

Yep im also stuck in the past. Damn its soo nice to listen to some old songs sometimes...all those memories.

You guys... thanks for teh support. I was beginning to feel old... but I sure am revived.

I was listening to a tape that had O hasina zulfoan wali...remixed.... and there is a place where she says " sham say hee ho jata hey mera jadoo jawan" and we used to ascribe that to a pretty girl at college.... what a laugh!!!
