If we are rational beings by nature then why our dreams are not rational ?
You know what I mean.
A rational person knows that one cannot fly without the help of any mechanical device but in your dream you will see yourself flying in the air like a bird.
You know it is not possible for dead people to come back from where they are now and talk to you but in your dreams you will see your dead loved ones and you will have very long conversations with them.
So are we really rational beings ?

i think rationality is limited till physical world or things

but when ur sleeping ur not in this rational or physical world so i think it explains alot

That is the question. It is the same mind . Mind never sleeps , it works on 24x7x365 basis.
So can we conclude that the scientists are wrong about telling us that mind never sleeps.
If it never sleeps then what happens to our rationality when we are sleeping ?
Does our rationality takes a break when we are sleeping ?
Or we should conclude that we are not so rational after all ?

well it can be both

may be they r wrong they dont know the whole story yet

they r human too

they still have sum mysteries to be solved

or

may be when we sleep the rational part of our brain stops working

u know all of the brains doeant work its just sum portion of it thats working

so may be when we sleep sum portion of our brain stops working too

may be just wat i think :)

So if somebody commits a crime while sleepwalking , will that person be let go on that basis ?
I think it will be very hard to prove in courts by a person that he/she committed that crime while his/her rationality was at a break ? I am not sure just guessing may be a lawyer guppy/guppan can shed some light on this.

i think doctors can figure out if sum1 is suffering from this disease

and if that person is actually suffering then they let him go

My next thread will be about how to make someone sleepwalk , I guess from sharp minds of guppies and guppans we can always get some good advice on it too.

rationality as in being logical or as it being self justifying?

dreams are a totally different realm and personal life experiences as well as unconscious thoughts make up most of the dreams.so, ideally one has control on what one dreams.

last night I had a dream that my BIL got engaged to a girl by the name of Rani, and my brother bought a slice of cake of $11.50! man was a furious!

there's no judging a person's dreams however a lot of the times the things that are in your mind do appear in our dreams. Especially if it is a loved one who is no longer with us, seeing them at peace is such a treat :)
