Let me put it to you this way. Saudi Arabian per capita GDP was around $20K in the 80’s and 90’s, today it is around $4k. This is a place where the largest oil reserves are stored.
Let’s try another point. Chinese and Indian economies will bethe largest in teh world in one generation.
Let’s try another, patents filed by Indian and Chinese scientists are the highest in the world. Country like Israel files more patents in on eyear than all of Arabia combined for the last decade

So while you can sit on your ass and blame ineffective leadership of muslims etc…countries like India, China, Brazil, Russia are poised to look to the future instead of trying to emulate a failed or ineffective model from the past. Ask a Russian if he wants to go back to the Tsarists days, ask a chinaman whether he would prefer to live during the Ming dynasty or an INdian under Ashoka or a BRazilian under the native indians or a portuguese.
These populations believe the future is better, they don’t believe that the world is coming to an end, signs of the apocalypse when Bush got reelected or whether muslims in the 13th century successfully translated the iliad.
Oh and don’t worry about Shiva’s lingum and parvati’s yoni. Spirituality has nothing to do with economics. Your family in Pak or afghanistan, whichever you prefer will soon enjoy Shiva brand banaspati ghee and Parvati brand aata for your naans.

The reason the Muslim world is in the gutter is because either they have failed to emulate the Islamic model of governance or because the disbelievers have boycotted them and left no stone unturned in preventing them make progress.
If Europe can unite, why can’t the Muslim World? Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but the concept of Khilafah is very similar to the EU, one head in office with political, legal and military sovereignty over all of the Muslim World, single market, single currency, open borders...
Elahi what's wrong with being part of Afghanistan? There's plenty of non-Afghans living happily in Afghanistan for centuries, or migration is an option, we're not exactly doing our language or ethnicity any favours the way we're spread out in small pockets all over the show.

^ the EU is a work in progress LD..it's future is not as sure you make it sound.. LD and by contrast the Indian sub continent has only been a united country twice in it's history...(Ashoka and Aurenzeb's time respectively)

I agree..muslims just lack leadership and unity..we have so much against each other..and we just allow the gap widen..or build on the widening gap..we take the chalta hai attitude on it..thats why things look so bleak for us..but if people really care about Islam and this world..then there is so much we can do. alhamdulillah tho. and who cares about indias financial accomplishments..our spritual accomplishment should come before any of that..because we're muslims..and thats what matters.
Zakk I agree "there is nothing wrong defending a place where you have ties too" but do I personally have ties to "Pakistan"? I could explain further, my childhood, my upbringing, the influences on my life, but I wont..... all I can say is that I can have no patriotism to that COUNTRY
I certainly dont mean that I dont have an affinity with people from that country, just as I would with people from all over the Indian sub continent and to a certain degree, the mid east.
That doesnt make me a bad person
I feel comfortable and confident being me, I have no identity crisis and havent really needed to consider myself as part of another group.
I could explain further and write pages and pages but I dont have the time and Im sure that my life story is not kind of thing to clog up this site.

From what I have experienced Pakistani culture is very similar regardless of religion.

LD..rest assured I would never look down on someone because they aren't patriotic...there are plenty of other reasons to look down on people after all (and that too without furrowed eyebrows or squinty eyes)
It’s not always as clear cut as Black, White, Brown and Yellow.
Comparing Balochies, Pathans, Punjabis and Sindhis is like comparing apples and oranges, just look at the Pak cricket team and you’ll see how very different Punjabis and Pathans are.
Or better still go to Pakistan interact with the different ethnic groups and you’ll see how different their phenotype, culture and outlook on life is, zameen aasmaan ka farak hai.
^ not true. karachi has its own evolved culture and its made up of every ethnicity in pakistan. my karachi walay punjabi friends are singled out as foreigners in punjab.
