If you are from Pakistan i.e. a native Pakistani, are you offended by the term ‘fob’ or ‘freshie’ ‘mangy’ etc etc. Also do you see yourself as superior/inferior to those Pakistanis abroad in say UK, America, Australia, Canada etc.

FOB's are better because they are NOT 'confused' like the ABCD's, accept it or NOT, it's NOT their problem! :)

This is likely irrelevant, but I need to get it off my chest. The only time I feel offended is when someone invites me to their house and then fails to feed me. Unacceptable.
Call me what you like, just have some food to hand.

Haha aap yeh sochiye if it gives you khushi. It goes both ways fobs are hurt by the term and abcds as well. We're not confused we embrace the good in all cultures because all cultures have good and bad. There are some ABCDS who are fobby and more indian/pakistani than the natives. Then there are some fobs who are more western than ABCDs.

Not all ABCDs tease fobs some understand then and not all ABCDs are given respect by fobs.

im indian born and foreign raised. So im neither :) Or a mixture of both.
I respect my motherland and respect my adopted land which has given me much and i intend to contribute to both.

Good aspects of western culture- some individualism to realise your dreams, aspirations, to have your own self respect, work hard and stand on your own feet. Don't depend on others. Realise your own self worth. Don't be a doormat and follow your dreams.
Good parts of eastern culture- respect and sacrifice for family, respect for elders and parents , non material possessions> material possessions, love and give to younger people in your family.

While West may be flower East is fragrance and both aspects are important to make a beautiful flower.

when I am in pakistan I feel inferior to the people there because I am an ABCD but I don't feel offended, i feel inferior in terms of language skills because i am.

So i am sure its the same the other way round

Haven't really met any Pakistanis raised on corn so far, so I wouldn't know.

Haven't heard about freshie in a while but my cousins were used to call us that back in the day. I didn't knew what it meant back then but I do know and it makes me upset thinking about it.
I haven't given much thought to superiority stuff but more than 90% of British Pakistanis like to show their superiority.
