are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

Mormonism allows it as well I think.

Eitherway I don't see why Angel_Eyes went bezerk on my post. I didn't curse at the Quran. I just called it a 1400 year old book which is exactly what it is. You can believe that it is the direct word from some fictitious character that you believe in so strongly but for me it is simply a medieval book a collection of stuff that was believed as good morality in those times (a lot of it is simply not with the times). This is my belief and I have right to free speech as long as I am not cursing the book or the religion. I have the same feeling and will use similar words to describe most religious books and religions out there.

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

^ stupid.

now we know that is not what you said...but oh well....it's gone now.

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

aaaaahhhhhhhhhh

No! No one should go through this pain. Another wife?! No way! I can't stand another Latest trendy TV, another GPS, another new phone, ALL of WHOM my hubby PAY TOO much ATTENTION to.

You are talking about another wife! Are you out of your mind!? <===== STARING AT YA, WITH BIG RED EYES, SHOUTING HARD!

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

Clarification:::::::::: I misunderstood Magic Stick's first post - saw it after it had been edited and didnt see Angel Eyes signature, sorry all. :)

Sorry this is beside the point, but this is why we need to NOT remove posts! Censorship is unnecessary! now this post makes no sense....

Anyways, Islam does not mandate multiple wives (Mormonism at least the fundamentalist kind says its good to have more wives) Islam only give men an option based on biology and certain circumstances. Its a choice that's given to men based on their physical ability, financial ability and social circumstances. Furthermore, in Islam the marriage contract is totally flexible, a woman can add a no more marriage clause to her marriage contract if she wishes (amongst other things) Hence there's flexibility. Yes a 1400 year old book would be irrelevant to the world today, were it not flexible and able to change with the times, but being the world of God and mandated for ALL times, the Quran can be very modern and relevant to the current world, if only some people weren't using it to preserve 1400 year old status quo.

I am curious to hear from an actual Polygomist btw...

well said! girls NEED to study their nikahnama (marriage document) before signing it blindly, for this purpose, there are so many options in there. so many rights given to women in case things go wrong, for some reason those options are cut off or ignored (by family), assuming there will be no need for such measures. we need to make full use of the rights offered to women in Islam.

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

i know this uncle who married two times i know the second wife , she only says what was wrong with the first wife(i highly doubt that )anyways, he is a mawlvi and he "fell in love "with his sisters friend.WOW.he had two sons from the first wife brought em to USA...then claimed that they didnt even belong to the first wife and are really the children of his second wife.He left his first wife in pakistan...where she has had her boys taken from her and now tends the the mother and father in law.i consider the second wife a house wrecker..i know its harsh.Buts its true.

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

^ OMG. May Allah reward that first wife for all she's gone through. Ameen. :(:(:(

Wait. Excuse me, but did you just censor someone based on a difference in religious beliefs?

Really? I'd like to know. Explain yourself.

Exactly.

However, there should be NO censorship. If someone doesn't like Islam they have the right to say whatever the hell they want.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE that tries to silence them belongs in Nazi Germany because that's EXACTLY the same mentality.

You sound like a feminist :D

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

from my side there is no censorship iam always in fevour of speach freedom

Re: are you in polygamic marriage and share a partner

**Lets get one thing straight! You guys did not read what he wrote and what I edited. I did not censor someone because of difference of beliefs...I censored someone for putting down ones religious book...I would have edited no matter which religion he put down...... be it Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc etc.

If you want to discuss religious differences do so respectfully. ****Ridiculing ones religion (no matter which religion it may be), making a mockery of it, and/or putting it down in any other way will not be tolerated in this forum....PERIOD!

I am closing this thread since it looks like no one is interested in staying on topic. If you have any problems with that or want to discuss anything else with me....feel free to PM me.
