Are you Busy?

Satan called a worldwide convention.

In his opening address to his evil servants, he said, "We can’t keep the Muslims from going to Mosque. We can’t keep them from reading the Quran and knowing the truth. We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience with Allah. If they gain that connection with Allah, our power over them is broken.

So let them go to the mosques, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can’t gain that relationship with Allah.

This is what I want you to do, servants. Distract them from gaining hold of their creator and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

“How shall we do this?” shouted his servants.

“Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered. “Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6 - 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from
spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon, their home will offer no escape from the pressures of work!”

“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive, to keep the TV, VCR CDs and their PCs going constantly in their homes. And see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-Islamic music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Allah.”

“Fill the coffee table with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogues, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and emotional offering of free products, services, and false hopes. Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines so the husbands will believe that external beauty is
what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. Ha! That will fragment those families quickly!”

“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted, and unprepared for the coming week. Don’t let them go out in nature to reflect on God’s wonders. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, concerts and movies instead.
Keep them busy, busy, busy!! And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave
with troubled consciences and unsettled emotions.”

"Go ahead, let them be involved in soul winning. But crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Allah. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause. It will work! It will work!

It was quite a convention. And the evil servants went eagerly to their assignments causing Muslims everywhere to get busy, busy, busy and to rush here and there.

I guess the question is: has the devil been successful at his scheme?

hmm, this i kinda don’t know what to think of..

what is long hours – 9 - 5??? is that long?

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/frown.gif

i know children yrs are precious & all. but does tht mean the mum has to ignore her work during those children yrs <<& i’m not talking about maternity leave..>>
she can’t give all her buzy time to the kids instead…should she..?

Kohal, hmmm let me think.

Ok well I don't think its saying that it is necessarily wrong for a women to work 'long hours'. I mean if it is out of need or necessity then there is no way around it; but the point I think its trying to make is that a woman should not feel compelled or pressured into feeling that she has to go out and get/experience a career. You know how these days....or rather more so in the eighties with the women lib. thing and then the whole 'girl power' thing in the nineties, made it seem that if a woman stayed at home, did not go out and find a career for herself, she was deprived, that by choosing to stay at home she was not securing her rights and thus was somehow inadequate or not up to par, when compared with the rest of the 'liberated' women.

Islam gives a woman the right to choose, she has no duty or obligation in which she has to 'leave the house' and find work in order to support herself. Islam bestows that responsibility upon her father, her brothers, and her husband, etc.Islam is so much, within Islam one can find all that one longs for, it is possible though at times it may seem other wise. Perhaps it is the manner in which we seek it that makes it seem so, I mean our attitude, our outlook, our intention-niyyat are all factors. We have to search for Islam within ourselves, and to do so we must find ourselves. "I once heard a young man screaming at God for letting children starve, until he realized the starving children were God screaming at him for letting it happen."

Uh-oh, i think i got off track...YEP i definitely got off track.hmmm i think i should go before i muck things up even more.
Wassalam.

Aren’t you

Kidding. Balance is the key. Everything done to its extreme leads towards destruction Tts. Remember what happened when some one back there, a few yrs ago was too much into religion, but not paying any attention to the real world. Remember, how everyone turned agianst that individual (ok, c’mon no arguments there, remember the beach boat bc trip..what happened back there? ), and it was just so unbearable to go on further with life that way.

I disagree with some of the points here. I mean no disrespect. But some topics as extreme as such, really puts me off. For okay, fine… I agree, but when u compare it with today’s world Tts, one can’t just sit home all day long, doing nothing else… if one has to work, go ahead work, if its not required, then don’t. To me, its like an individual is responsible for his overall self… no one these days bothers to give another a shoulder to lean on to. I mean really… I don’t even need to quote any specific eg.. just take a breif look around

We’re not really that busy… its just that ppl don’t seem to care anymore. Its like a give and take process we see presently. If u give me this, I’ll reply with that… do u know what I mean…

MOre laters,
Adios, and love ya!

What the heck is a non-Islamic music? I think those who are locked up in mental chains are now resorting to assign religions to music. what is next? non-Islamic highways?

N Y Ahmadi... Could you please throw some light on the phrase "Mental chains" ... it may help some to gian an insight...

Why did u get so disturbed though...just curious.. I could've read ur post wrong obviously...

Adios!
DB

Dear DB, it was just a simple expression to deliberate my sadness at the state of minds that view every little aspect of enjoyments of life through religious spectacles. I don’t think that music has any religion, do you? To me, someone who does not use common sense and logic is someone who is chained. Hence the term, mental chains.

If there are certain things that one finds displeasing, there is no need to categorize them as Un-Islamic or Un-whatever. That’s all.

Yeah, i know some points in that thing were extreme, but the thing was that they do make us think right?--about what's happening and what we are doing or not doing, etc, and that was the point of it.

But we are busy DB, we are busy being B.U.S.Y.--are we not? I mean what is it that makes us feel that we do not care, is it not all this busyness that makes us feel as we have no time, or no patience, or no will for such things.

Hmmm, the okanagan trip, of course i remember, that was three years ago wasn't it. I don't know what to say about that, it was us, and it wasn't us. Maybe it was too much, maybe it wasn't, but we did learn alot those days, and despite everything i think despite everything it was ok...no actually i KNOW it was ok, so don't worry about it, okay?

AH

I think that there is alot that people get confused about in today's world and then say that looking at today's world we cannot do this or that.

But the bottom line remains that what was prescribed to us by the rasool (ssaw) and what we have been taught to do, we need to go on doing that and dont come up with silly excuses that today what should we do by sitting at home. If there is no neccessity for a woman to work, then she should not. Thats the bottom line on this issue.

But as far as B.U.S.Y is concerned, I do agree with the point. Shaytan's goal is to distract us from the right path so that we can be his companions in Hell since he has been deprived of Heaven & doomed for Hell so he wants as many people to accompany him over there as possible.

We dont need to come up with excuses.

Exactly!

'He who makes excuses accuses himself.'
