I completely agree with this! With clothing and shoes, in my experience, $ makes a difference. Clothing and shoes made with good quality fabric/materials fit better and last longer. But with Skincare products, most high end stuff is crap in my experience. You’re basically shelling out $$ for their “name” and packaging. If someone takes the time to do research on actual ingredients…there are MUCH cheaper, no-name brands out there that will do a great job when it comes to skin.
With make-up, it’s a hit and miss. Some drugstore brands are amazing and do a great job. I can undersand spending $$ on foundations and powders since most drugstore brands don’t give out samples and it can be hard to find a exact color match. But other things such as blush, eye shadows, mascara etc…I don’t see any point in spending large amounts. (Note: I don’t consider MAC, Stila, UD etc. “high end”. By “high end”…I’m referring to Chanel, Dior, YSL etc).
