What is an adult? Often times I think of this term and for some reason I never categorize myself in it. I just cant seem to!!! What makes me an adult? What are the other alternatives? Child? Youth? Teenager? Are teenagers adults? I’m in my twenties, I must be an adult but I’m so dependant on family that I dont feel like one. Hmm… any comments? besides grow up? When I have to talk to adults, I feel very shy, almost like I’m the kid and they are the adult! Oh boy…
Learn to love yourself, then learn to love one-another
It’s funny when you’re treated like one.. or when you’re around little kids and they look at you as grown ups. I realized I wasn’t so much of a kid anymore, once I got out of highschool, went away to school and had to hold jobs with mommy and daddy not around. (Although they called several times to check up on me
It’s liberating but at the same time frightening. I like being independent, although I’m still not as much as I would like to be, but it’s so much easier accepting consequences when you know it was a decision you took yourself.
I’m twenty but I feel like I’m four years younger. the kid in us never dies, I still love balloons, play hide 'n seek with little ones and sulk when things don’t go my way.
Regardless, I like being treated like an adult, gives you a sense of maturity and responsibility. I would say you should start doing things on your own, start with little things, umm..grocery shop without your mom? I don’t know.. break out of a few family rituals, preferably the ones you don’t like do something you’ve been afraid of doing.. umm.. don’t worry, you’ll feel like an adult once you get hitched
i guess adulthood aint really associated with age. its more about your ability to grasp things and your thinking process…your power to feel for others and do things that are good for urself and others.
i was once reading somewhere, a person asked some scholar to explain him the difference between an animal and human...like animal can also think and so can human...but what is it that makes human more superior? The scholar replied "A human can chose between good and evil"
On this the first person said that a Dog is also known to show the same traits...like a dog can also distinguish between an evil and good. The scholar after some pause replied "A human can choose less evil from more evils and a human can choose more good from less goods"
i guess a person is in his adulthood once he is able to qualify to be a human.
