Re: Are you a possessive person?

Everyone is possessive difference is just in the degree of passivenesses and things that evokes it. There is nothing wrong in being possessive itself. Why do you want to get rid of it?

Re: Are you a possessive person?

I don't think I am possessive. I don't even get jealous very easily.

The word 'possessive' has a negative connotation. I would not want my partner to be possessive. But if he doesn't get jealous in situations where it is normally expected then I would find it quite troubling and somehow lead myself into thinking he doesn't care enough about me.

A possessive guy is someone who tells you he will call you in 10 min. and when he does and you don't pick up because you were in the bathroom, interrogates you for 2 hours about where you were and why you didn't answer his call on time.

oh i get jealous very easyli.....in pak a lot of gyals talk to him im like haha calm down or i will pop ur eyes out......he does the same when guys chat to me..we know its all friendly and we have eyes for each other

Re: Are you a possessive person?

I think a certain degree of possessiveness is cute but if he starts calling me every ten minutes and questioning every action...we have a problem.

Not me ,in case of my wife , I am not.
But in case of my kids I am.
I want to possess their soul to make sure that they grow up to be well adjusted citizens. :hinna:

Re: Are you a possessive person?

hmmm slightly  working on it though

hmmmm, well its ok, and rather required to be possessive to an extent about your loved ones. and gives you a good feeling that others care about u as much as that. yet the line has to be drawn somewhere. i mean, it becomes more of a hurdle to others' normal movement in life if they are cared for so much. u need to give ur loved ones a bit of release, to let them go on their own.....and wats more, u must ve heard, 'familiarity breeds contempt' , so its just we need to strike a balance. :)

Re: Are you a possessive person?

when love is there, possessiveness also comes naturally. But it should be in limits.

Yes I'm possessive but not that much kay zabardasti kisi ko roak kar rakhoon agar wo person dil say naheen chahay meray saath rehna ya talluq rakhna to I'll let that person go.

I believe in doing anything from film "Dil Say". No dil to live or have contact with me then go where you want. I won't say a single time "Ruk ja o janay wali ruk ja main to rahi teri manzil ka, Daikhnay main main bura sahi aadmi bura naheen main dil ka. Ruk jaa, Ruk jaa".

Yes it is a good thing to be possive in a relationship. That possesiveness come because of love. Jitna shakar utna mitha. Jitna love utna possessiveness.

But we have to draw a line between possessiveness and respect others right and chahat dil ki. If you love a person you will always look for that person's happiness rahter than your own happiness.

How to get rid of possessiveness is to start loving that person from film "Dil Say" and True love. True love don't want a person to stay with us without his dil but want us that persons happiness where ever that person lives and whom that person lives with.
