like me donating money to charity and **advertizing my donation **to my whole circle of friends in the name of good, is egotistically driven, but as some good will come of it, it is good, but not truely altrueistic
You could lets say donate $10,000 of which donate $1000 with advertising to circle of friends as "encouragement" for them to donate as well, I think that would be a good deed too.
