Hi sweeties,

I posted this in the wedding section but it seems this might be a better place.

I’m looking for a bridal lehenga for September 2009 with simle and classy work and colour schemes. Some samples of what I like:



The middle one is my favourite so far, but I would adjust it to be deep red with aqua piping, and a choli to my waist instead of the coatie.

Can anyone recommend me a designer who would make this for me within a budget of US$ 500? That’s the maximum for me.

I can’t find this kind of thing in the UK, all the work at the moment is really in your face and over the top. Also, I don’t live in the UK any more, I live in a country where there are no asian clothing shops, so this would need to be done entirely online.

One last question: I don’t know if anyone remembers but in the late 80s/early 90s there was a fashion for girl’s khussa’s with curly toes. They used to be lovely, they were not designed like the men’s curly toed khussas, they were more like ballet pumps with a curly toe (ie. you could see the crease of your toes, they were not covered up to the ankle like the men’s style)

Where can I get these now? I want to wear khussas, not heels.

the second dress is gorgeous it is a karma dress i spoke with my designer and she can make it for 610.00 US because this outfit is worth not less than $3000 in Pakistan its an outfit by karma. and shes saying she will make it really beautiful because its for someones wedding. it will be made very similar to the photo and your description of what you want.

dont go with bargello...their prices are carzy and u should read the reviews for bargello on gs..they are really bad.

I couldn’t go with bargello even if I wanted too, waaaaaay too expensive for an outfit I’ll probably only ever wear once!

oh.. wat a quick recommendation for this website... i can see an anti element in dis alert... seems like "HEY do not go to the other side of the wall, someone will kill you..." and other side is being utilized for bad purposes..
