Diwana does not like if anything is said against the ISIS and Mr.Baghdadi… ![]()
Re: Are women equal to men?
Is this even funny? Do you even read his posts? He’s been trying to argue how ISIS and Taliban are not representatives of muslims but you ignored everything he said and you acted just like other fanatics act…by accusing him of a terrorist supporter. You should be given warning points for this stupid post.
But yeah…we get it. Indians hate Erdogan and Turkey.

Re: Are women equal to men?
i agree that women and men are not equal and both genders are different. being different does not mean that one gender is superior to the other. different means different and that’s it. I don’t know why some of you are taking it as an insult to women. and why some women always wants to be termed and though of as Equal to men. i mean what’s so good about being men anyways?
Re: Are women equal to men?
No. they are not. Question is not of equality but is of equity.
Re: Are women equal to men?
Equal does not mean same. Equality means that women should have similar opportunities in all domains of life- economic, social and political. If they want to be an astronaut, own a business, work in an army or work in a farm they should get equal opportunity to do so. So women and men are equal in importance. This doesn’t mean they are the same. Obviously guys are physically stronger and women are emotionally stronger. Women are not weak-they go through pain of labour and bleed every month. Some guys are afraid of injections. Even people of all races are not same but they are all human. They should have equal opportunity to pursue their interests. A white or south/east asian man should not be denied a chance to become a basketballer or athlete because physically on average they are less athletic than African Americans. African Americans should not be denied into educational institutions because some people believe they are less intelligent. In subcontinental history there are plenty of examples of Muslim women like Razia Sultan who were great political administrators even though people initially did not expect they could do an equal job to males. There have also been plenty of Muslim warriors
Erdogan rightly praises motherhood but is wrong when he says women and men are not equal and can’t be brought into equal positions. They can’t do same jobs and they can’t have equal positions in workplace. Many female CEOs, prime ministers and female engineers would be examples against this. Once upon a time females were considered unequal and not fit to be doctors only nurses. They were denied entry to many institutions. Now Pakistani medical schools have more females than males. Pakistan had the first female Muslim prime minister. Her being female did not make her less competent.
Turkey is no role model when it comes to global gender gap. They are 120 out of 140 countries.
Ziauddin Yousafzai has more intelligence and insight in his finger than Erdogan seems to have in total. Ziauddin Yousafzai: My daughter, Malala | Talk Video | TED.com He rightly says women and men deserve equal opportunities for education, autonomy and an independent identity.
Unfortunately many women in desi culture also pass down values to future generations that women are less or not as equal and this thought process continues.
“Why is my daughter so strong?” Yousafzai asks. “Because I didn’t clip her wings.”
