I have tried D-Link 614, 624 & 524. Only 524 proved to be stable. 614 needed a reset at least once a week. 624 used to get excited automatically rebooting itself.
Used Linksys WRT54GX4, not very many complaints, worked OK for me. Now I bought the cheapest one in the market Edimax & strangefully it proved to be best in performance. No problems with VPN, created a DMZ (work brilliantly), all other features are tested & I must say, its really good for the price I paid.
