Are we wrong?

  1. Ok, i dont get this..islam says for us to get as much knowledge and readh the quran and understand it! But why do i see like majority of muslims at mosques who pray in arabic and they dont know what they are saying when praying. Alot of muslims go for taraveh during ramadan and spend hours there withouth learning anything! Only the people who understand arabic know whats happening but like 80-90% of the people dont know what the imam is reading out. They should make knowing arabic mandatory for all muslims so they can understand what god is tryin to tell us through the Quran. Whats ur opinion?

  2. While i was watching taraveh prayers live from mecca which come on ARY or GEO, i noticed some people had qurans in their hands while they were praying taraveh’s. When they bow down for sajda’h, are they allowed to put the quran on the floor??

to your 1st question i think u r right all of us Muslims must know the understanding of the quraan bcz Quraan has been revealed as a guide for human beings now if u dunno what the guide says how can u b guided well i dun wanna get into other argument like we all know Allah(SWT)is the 1who gives hidayat but to understand the Quraan is a must bcz if u dunno what's the Imam is reading your thoughts would be almost 99%outside if u do know what's going on u will have that Concentration and Devoution in your Salaat
2 question i think u r allowed but i think mosr ppl hold the Quraan in their armpits when they go for rukoor sijdah if i'm not mistaken

in their armpits :-s ...hmmmm thats not a pleasant thing to do. Half of those people probably sweat and never heard of deodrant. Anywayz, i personally think they should have some sort of like a stand above ground in front of them where they can put it before they go in sajdah.

well bhai dunno much so should ask a scholar

1) reading Quran even if u dont understand it is an act for which u be rewarded by Allah (perhaps the hikmat here is that repetitive reading shall encourage learning)....

2) most of them will definitely put in on the ground, and i dont think they have an alternative....

lolz its unpleasant thats true i dont see how a deodrent will help it,if your arm doesnt pit stink its still ur arm pit and Quran pak is still a holy book.

i agree with you arabic should be a compulsory thing but since i dont know arabic i know another thing that helps. if you recite it enough time and read tasfeer the repition makes you remember the translation. so when you are in traveeg u can place most of the ayahs.
