^ A cause is predetermine by its effect. The reason we can be sure that for most of the part animals dont go through emotional or psychological stress is because we have not observes effects like insomnia, nervous break downs, suicides and such in animals.

Then animals are very special.They do not have to undergo all these states.

On a serious note:Why humans undergo all these because of our social commitments and obligations.You are a NASA scientist and if your project does not go well,you will feel all these states.Animals do not have to undertake such things barring hunting and intercoursing and safe guarding their cubs.But have you noticed the pain of a mother elephant that just lost it’s baby?The same is with monkeys.
