You talk about others posting silly threads, yet your response to me would hardly suggest a man with insight.
The whole point of Gupshup - and correct me if I'm wrong - is to talk about anything we want. There would be no point otherwise and nobody would visit the Gupshup page. If we want to be silly, then fine - there are forums for that; and if we want to be serious - again, this is fine because there are forums for that too!!
I do not believe that Gupshup is a good reflection of Pakistanis or of Muslims because the mixture of people on Gupshup is too broad. Some of us can't call ourselves Pakistani because we don't live in Pakistan and have rarely visited the country. And some of us can't even call ourselves Muslims!!
Perhaps you should take your own advice, and chill out a bit!!
Rijaal, I don't quite understand the point you are trying to make.
If you/anyone wants to be silly, go ahead, but I think s malik was trying to look at how our thinking has deteriorated to the extent that we seem to be more interested in films/music/gossip/etc. rather than more serious issues, and maybe that's the reason for our decline.

I understand what you're saying, but like I said, I don't think that Gupshup is a good reflection of Pakistanis and/or Muslims. So to say that we as a people a deteriorating because of the silly threads on Gupshup is little too much.
Gupshup is meant to be fun, and therefore most of the people attracted to this forum talk about silly things.

What you do not seem to understand that one can be creative and productive even when passing time, rahter than being totally dammn Idiot, as there are many on the forum. If thats how some of you want to pass your time, well then feel free go ahead and join the crowd.
