are we muslims???

Are We Muslims Only In Ramadhan?

**It is now time for us to re-evaluate our Emaan. Question yourselves, and in process improve yourselves. **

We claim to be Muslims, we claim to believe in Allah, but do we really believe in it with a firm heart, or is it just something we say? We claim to “believe” in the Unseen God, but we see the harmful effects of drinking, clubbing and smoking, yet we don’t avoid them. Ask yourselves that if we don’t even believe in what can be seen, do we really believe in the Unseen? Just “believing” in the existence of Allah does not make us Muslims, Shaitaan also, by the way, “believes” in Allah. We must act like Muslims also.

We must also do in actions that what we say in words and that what we know in thoughts. We say we’re Muslims, but are we really? He is not a true Muslim whose hands and tongue are violent. Several of us stopped cursing and backbiting and lying during the month of Ramadan, but now what? Since Ramadhan is over, should we return to those faults? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

Every Muslim is to pray 5 times a day, every day, no exceptions. Several of us did that very promptly during Ramadan. Now that Ramadan is over, now what? Should we give up those prayers just because Ramadhan is over? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

We made duas because we understood that indeed it is Allah who listens and grants. We sought forgiveness from Allah because we realized our faults and felt guilty. We improved our conducts and lowered our voices and controlled our tempers because we realized that a Muslim is he whose actions represent peace and nobility. Now that Ramadhan is over, will we go back to our same old self? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

We tried our best to close our ears to that which was not permissible to hear, we tried our best to stop our tongues at times when we were about to say something which we are not allowed to say, we tried our best to lower our gazes at sights which we are not allowed to see. Now that Ramadhan is over, do those things become permissible to us? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???
We refrained from going to clubs and watching movies and listening to songs & musics during Ramadan because we realized these attributes do not represent Muslims. Now that Ramadhan is over, should we return to our previous lifestyle? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

We were awake at nights, not spending time in clubs, watching Tv`s or with friends, but instead we were awake at nights to do ibaadat for the Will and Pleasure of Allah. Now that Ramadhan is over, are we relieved of our responsibilities? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

We refrained from dawn to dusk, not only from the Haraam, but also the Halaal. The purpose of this abstinence was to create patience and virtue, and realize that if you want you can even stay away from the Halaal, so why can you not avoid the Haraam? Sure you can. You just need the will. Now that Ramadhan is over, can we go back to eating, talking, watching, doing, and thinking Haraam? Are we Muslims only in Ramadhan???

i read this somewhere and wanted to share this with u all.It is very important for every Muslim to understand and remember that we are Muslims 24/7 not just once or twice a year. We are not seasonal Muslims, nor Ramadan or Eid Muslims. We are Muslims and we should be submitters to Allah everyday, every minute, and every second. I pray that every Muslim that becomes a good Muslim only in Ramadan stays a good Muslim after Ramadan. Ameen.

Re: are we muslims???

true we should be muslims in every way not jus for a special occasion... :)

Re: are we muslims???

WE are only muslims by law (Iqraar ul bl lisaan). However in our routine life most of us are lies in the Fasiq and munafiq category, some others only thinks ISLAM as dogma, name of some acts like namaz, roza, hajj etc. Its time to TAJDEED our Emaan, learn quran from tanzeem (dot) org ( Bayan ul Quran) An excellent audio tanfseer.

Well i think we are muslims by birth becoz our parents are muslim so we are. Yes i think everybody should adopt the routine of ramzan in other months too. We should not only tajdeed our emaan but have to find the right path too i mean right aqaid for us.
Thanks

Agreed!!
ISLAM is NOT just a part of life as most of us take it to be.
Its a Complete WAY of life.

:wsalam:

Just try to learn QURAN the last guidance of ALLAH to mankind including non muslims and so called muslims, in the light of Hidith / Sunnah. If any one wants the translation in urdu and english (Absolutally unbiased towards any kind of FIRQA) do email me i will provide u the links.

Re: are we muslims???

Salam chviky,

I don't understand you said if someone wants to understand Quran in urdu and english, you have translation (absolutely unbaised towards anykind of FIQA) ... How is that possible when you want to understand Quran in light of hadith and sunnah when different sections have their own set of hadith and sunnah each baised in their own favour?

Please answer honestly.

thank you

AshM

bro its nor FIQA but FIRQA. and i dont get ur question plz elaborate. R u trying to say that Different Firqa are based on different Hadith / Sunnah. Then i m afraid that u r not getting it right bro. Hadith / Sunnah has absolutly no point of clash b/w firqas, its rather some baseless dogmas and some Fiqa matters which creates the real differences. Our problem is that we are not following ISLAM but always worried about those smaller self made or misunderstood dogmas.

Re: are we muslims???

Salam chviky,

Dear My question was simple... lets see you want us tounderstand Quran in light of hadith and sunnah can you be a lttle more specific which ahadith shia ones or sunni ones and when you say unbaised of FIRQAS translation what kind will it that be based on which ahadiths because all translation I have read are based onand explained on some ahadiths..

thanks for replying

Sis Shia vesions!! mostly based on fabricated, Stick to Sunni Sahi Bukhari, Sahi Muslim, Thats all. And what i mean in the light of Hadith and Sunnah is that the real time situations in which QURAN has revealed at that time, That is the Sunnah, one should know the context of each verse so that he can understand it rightly. As for as the basic Guidance is concerned, ALLAH has made QURAN very simple so that a layman could find the hidaya by just reading translation.

Anyways i have already posted a thread of translation, if u r interested. And yes ur innner core of heart automatically knows the unbiased and clear stance as u read!!!! One doesnt have to worry about it, if his natural sprit is not perverted!!!
