Re: Are we entering DEPRESSION

If we can't slow the recession, then I forsee another depression as a definite possiblilty.
Fortunately, we now have safety measures in place to keep the stock market from totally crashing like it did in the '30s, but if it keeps dropping and the housing bubble bursts, then a depression is likely.
Another problem that we are facing is that the rest of the world has depended on our economy for so long, that if we can't keep from sinking into a full blown recession, then the rest of the world's economy's (except for a few Scandanavian countries) will be in worse shape than we are and that will come back to damage us even worse. All of the economy's in the world are interrelated, so when ours weakens, then others do as well, which then comes back to ours and further weakens it.
I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. .. Buy Gold as much as you can !

Take anti-depressants :chai:

BTW: What is the definition of depression?

Re: Are we entering DEPRESSION

Prolonged Recession. There is no fixed defination, its subjective.

Only time will tell - but I think we will not have same Depression as it hit last time (in 1930's)

there is no particular or explanatory definition of depression but formally its called a prolonged recession and casually when u dont have a job its a recession but if u and ur neighbour both dont have a job then its a depression.

for? :hehe:
