The media is often accused of brainwashing masses, especially in current circumstances when there is so much chaos all around us, the media is the driving force that delivers THE perception that we later grow to adopt, some of us follow through and believe it, others question it and seek various opinions, and then separating facts from fiction; truth from lies; exact from exaggeration, and so on.
Do you, personally, believe that media has brainwashed us, and now is raising a generation of kids who would be more than likely to “get with the program” than we or our rather revolutionary ancestors were? Is media your outlet to learn the facts, or do you rely on facts themselves for that?
Media is capable of both good and bad:
Some of the good:
Rapid source to spread the truth
Rapid distribution of facts
An outlook in far places of concern
A different opinion
Some of the bad:
Propaganda programming
Subliminal messages hidden in the form of entertainment
Psychological dumbing down of minds
Americans are most definitely affected by this… i’m not saying that other countries are not as bad with regards to media propaganda, but i remember watching TV over there and was like WTH!!! Could the yanks BE anymore sheltered…
THe problem which i observed is that we're too busy earning to pay our mortgages and credit card debts so what ever media throw towards us we take it as the true picture and continue to think that there's a lot of transparency and fairness in what media brings to us. They know, not a lof of ppl have time to get into the depth of the matter and research on it themselves. It's all organized fraud i tell you
