If part of Taleban means few groups that are only fighting in Afghanistan, then i understand why it would not be army’s priority to go after them.

Army’s strategy and rightly so is to fight the groups that are a threat to Pakistan. Army does not have capabilty to wage moral wars, when Nato itself does not show any serious effort to confront Taleban in Afghanistan.

i disagree with the premise that these groups are not a threat to Pakistan. We used to say the same thing about groups that used to be active primarily in Kashmir and are active in Pakistan now (LJ for example, and even what is now under the umbrella of TTP). Furthermore it is the responsibility of the state to ensure that it is the only agent of force in the country. NO pakistani citizens should be living under Taliban rule. period.

As far as the question of prioritization goes, sure. Prioritize those who are most violent. But dont let the rest fester either.
