Are Watches obsolete?

I’ve rearly ever never worn a watch, except when I was a lil kid.

People still point at there wrist when telling someone to hurry up etc, so one could say the gesture is there but the time piece it refers to is not. Most people just check their phone for the time, we have laptops, tabs, all new cars have a clock.

Do people still wear them? Or has it become something of status rather than just having it for checking the time? Both?

Re: Are Watches obsolete?

It’s a fashion statement for normal people and a requirement for medical students.

Smart watches will take over, but they still will be there

Are Watches obsolete?

No, I can’t leave the house without my watch on…I feel like something is missing without it on

Re: Are Watches obsolete?

You know i just feel bad about the folks that have been in the profession of fixing watches for many many years, especially in countries like Pakistan. Ofcourse with the trend going down and changing its shape, dont think they can keep up with it. Its been highlighted in many articles now.

Nothing beats a casio f91w…
