exactly my papa’s thoughts ..gar wale kahte hen he used to say that i dont want to be on death bed for so long that even my family get tired of me ..his wish was granted .

i am not afraid of death...we belong to Allah and to Allah is our return.

However 2 things that i pray that i will nvr have to face when im old.....

  1. as US mentioned...becoming so old that i am unable to take care of myself and i have to rely on others.

  2. my child dying before me...im not a mother yet but i am pretty sure that i would nvr want to be faced with my child dying before me. :(

like others said...i am scared of dependency...
depending on others to feed u,take care of u ,dress u etc......
i saw my grandmother like that...she spent the last 5 years on bed and getting miserable and helpless everyday...
thats what scares me.....

Asking others to do little things for you..and when you rely on others to do each and everything...thats what scares me the most about old age..dependancy..
I have recently started volunteering at a rehab center..and it is really scarey to watch..
