Re: Are these Ahadeeth authentic and if so why do they contradict?
Bukhari is perhaps the largest “collection” of ahadith. These collections Bukhari, Dawood, Ibn Maja etc do not form a “fiqh”, they are just that → collections. Why they can contain contradictions is because of human factor involved in passing the knowledge. What these collectors (Bukhari, Muslim, Dawood etc) did was they analysed full chains of transmitters and gathered all the ahadith which passed certain criteria. You might have heard things like “reject any hadith which is in contradiction with Quran”, the question is why would there exist a hadith which could cause “contradiction with Quran”? Answer: Human factor.
To me Quran is the “binding” factor for all Muslims, while Hadith/Sunnah is the testing factor and result we have seen in so many “sects”. In the end YOU are responsible to judge from the available information and act to the BEST of knowledge you acquired, you can obtain a “fatwa” from any scholar but if that fatwa goes wrong you are still held responsible (even if it may not be to full extent).
My personal opinion from these two: I would take the safest route, which is intercouse without ejaculation needs ghusl. Why? Even if it turns out to be wrong I’ll still be right in the sense that it covered the other hadith i.e. ejaculation. However if you go with ejaculation hadith and that one turns out to be wrong… I don’t want to take that risk … You can still follow the 1st hadith if you can go into details and verify authenticity and see what fuqaha say about this issue.
Re: Are these Ahadeeth authentic and if so why do they contradict?
I have heard that S Bukhari has veto power over other Sahih books. Things in Buhkari are accepted more than the other Sahih books. Anyone heard/read of that too?
Re: Are these Ahadeeth authentic and if so why do they contradict?
No Captain, it still do not make sense, reason. if the contradiction in hadith is due to human factor, then you are validating the contradictions in other religious books to the same human factor.
then why do we bash non muslims for having descrepencies in their books which were passed on to them generation to generation through word of mouth.
Should we just accept that as well as easily as you are accepting in hadith case.
