Are there obituaries in Urdu newspapers?

What is the word for “obituaries” or death announcements or such like?

Re: Are there obituaries in Urdu newspapers?

as far as i know...the urdu newspapers i have seen in pakistan they have no one particular section where all obituaries are written. they are just in the newspaper (anywhere) depending on who it is "eg if a high profilic person passed away then it will be on the front page, if its someone less known then in one of the inside pages".

there isnot a particular day to publish these obituaries. its just as soon as the newspaper gets the details they just publish it.

and if there are any sections for the obituaries in an urdu newspaper then title would be what KKF and Chips6 said. :)
