i live in NY and had noticed in the past this special breed of men, commonly misinterpreted as homosexuals, lurking in very corner of this great city. Before the word “metrosexual” was coined and hyped, these men kept a low profile and practiced the ritual of “metrosexuality” in the confines and privacy of their homes, so as not to be frowned upon and labeled incorrectly as a homosexuals. In the early nineties when the idea of “metrosexuality” became acceptable, only then did we notice them coming out of the woodwork. But in my experience, most of the members of this elite grooming club (pun intended) were white men with may be a few Koreans and blacks, but never a desi.
Well i have been proved wrong. I have detected, befriended and tracked a desi metrosexual. I mean this guys puts my sister to shame, and he does it desi style.
He uses paste of flour, olive oil, zest of orange and turmeric before shower every other day of the week. On other days he uses lemon juice with yogurt and cucumber juice. His bathroom is a veritable fortress equipped with so many “bath and body” lotions, shampoos, creams, exfoliators. he regulary gets facials, manicures and pedicures. He avoids the sun like a plague and uses some SPF lotion. Even his diet is outrageous. Anyway, without going into details, is this a common phenomenon nowadays? And what do desi girls think about them? Would you date one? If not, why? I also want to know how most desi guys on here groom themselves?
for me it’s two showers during summertime with my “Lever2000” bodywash, plus making wudhu four times a day. Shampoo with “head and shoulders” once a week, and…ummm…hmmmm i think that is it… oh dont forget the “right guard” deodorant:D

wat kind of metrosexualily is practiced behind doors ? and as u were growing up u never seeen MARYLIN MANSON ? besides not all metro sexual wear tons of make up and crap .. trust me there are heck alot of desi metroz out who dont even realise it.
as far as do i personally know one .. then NO ! but i do know this pakistani gothic lerki .. who is darn rich n darn cute .. but she dont like desis COZ IN HER PRECEPTION WE ARE BIG MOUTHS.
p/s: man i m talking abt metro-sexuals ha ha .. in houston we got this dude from karachi leading GAY ppl
1- you may want to wash your hqir more than just once a week #2- avoiding sun and using a sun blocker is a smart thing to do, ask your doctor, with skin cancer rampant, a sunblock is just a logical thing to do. #3- Diet- people have personal preferences #4- moisturizers etc are good for you #5- exfoliators are good too, avoids getting your pores plugged in possibly infected
I personally use moisturizers, sunblock, take a shower every day, try to dress nice, trim nasal hair, floss, ceakn out my ears with q-tips, use cologne, deodorant, use diff types of shampoos, i.e. daily moisturizer/normalizer and then weekly cleansing shampoo, conditioner after shampoo and a leave in conditioner. gel or hair wax. I put a warm towel on my face before I shave, use a shave brush to get the lather right, use an after shave after I am done, and then moisturize.
I think looking good and feeling good, as well as being detail oriented about your appearance is a civilized thing to do. its not being a metrosexual but a gentleman.
