Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Baaqi bahut sari job hain yaar..
See… Qasai and Darzis are mostly Muslims. But cobbler and washermen are mostly Hindus. It just how it has been… No one complains..

Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Yes true…there have been major Hindu-Muslim riots in India because Muslims have taken all the lucrative “qasai” jobs.
Goliko, can you tell your head from your toe…
Go…read some book on India.
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Most Hindus only refrain from beef but will eat everything else, others are so strict they wont eat any meat and then there's others who wont even eat eggs...
Those who do eat meat will have no problem with Dhabeeha (slaughtered) Halaal (permissible) meat and most even prefer it here saying it's cleaner because most of the blood containing the impurities has been drained out. Sikhs however will eat any meat but not Halaal/Kosher meat because they think it's cruel to slaughter animals the way we do, which is pretty warped because university experiments have proved it to be less painful the stunning.
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
pretty accurate.
however, i prefer non-halal meat simply because i find halal meat to be more tough/dry even after marinating it.
also, many hindus in the west eat beef…ABCD non-vegetarians rarely exclude beef. hindus in india that eat beef simply go to a muslim friend’s house or muslim area to eat it.
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
^
that's probably because muslim butchers are cheapsters and selling older animals.. the younger the animal the more tender and succulent its meat'll be..
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
I am getting pretty good replies from other Indians…you don’t have to interrupt,if you have nothing informative to say…
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Hmm just curious. Is there punishment involved if a hindu is caught consuming cow?
Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Yes i would also add…is there any punishment if muslims are seen sacrificing cow at eid ul azha???& whether hindus see these muslims with bad sight??
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?

Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?

Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Uhm just like ther r Muslims who don’t eat only halal, there are hindus who will eat meat. There r msulims who wont even eat a slice of plain pizza coz the same utensil was used to cut a pepperoni slice, and ther eare hindus who won’t eat eggs.
You people make me feel s much better about my intelligence :halo:
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Don’t get so excited
…we are just trying to see what goes in india(on the grounds)…not what some people does & some doesn’t do…
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
If a Muslim openly slaughters a cow it may be taken as a provocation - and ofcourse things can turn ugly.
Most Hindus do not buy or cook Beef at home but it can be consumed outside(by city dwellers).
No one knows if you are Muslim or not - culturally it is not correct to boast of eating beef.
I normally joke and say "sacred cow is in India only not abroad!",
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
My friend, hats off to your better half for what must be a good biryani. Birynais are hard to do right. Mostly they come out too dry, particularly chicken as it does not have enough fat. Meri gharwali does not do biryani but that does not mean there aren’t good ones. My cousin-in-law’s biby (a devout Hindu woman) does a fantastic chicken biryani but won’t give us the recipe. So be a pal and post one. Muze ab bhook lagi hain. BTW, beef biryani is ok too.
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
And most software guys are south Indians.
Re: Are there issues with Zabeha and Non-Zabeha meat in India?
Most Hindus eat meat. Typically only Brahmins are pure vegetarian and that too only South Indian Brahmins are strict. India has good beef but most of it is exported to Bangladesh and other countries. I never ate beef when was in India simply because locally available stuff was of poor quality. That is why most Indians stick to chicken or mutton.
BTW, per capita meat consumption in India may not reflect the % of meat eaters simply because in most middle class homes meat is only cooked on weekends becuase of high cost.
As to Biriyani, Muslim familes easily cook the best biriyani simply because of the tradition. I used to live in Hyderabad and in mixed communities, during Id time and other family occasions, Muslim families usually call for dawat and we used to wait for these occasions just for the biriyani and kheer. My neighbor at that time was a Muslim businessman and his son was a local badmash but whenever the kid passed an exam, the dad called dawat. We even tried to coach the boy to pass more exams just so that we could taste more of aunty's biriyani :D
