my family’s apparently syeds but in the grand scheme of history, they’re also recent descendants from the middle east to Pakistan. We have a shajrah that documents everything (my dad is a history buff). Also most syed family’s will be able to trace their family line back. There was a rishta that came a while ago that said they were syed but didn’t have a shajrah or anything…it was random. Regarldess, my parents said no though NOT because of the syed issue but other things. There are people in pak that make a huge deal about syeds marryig syeds but thankfully my parents don’t care.
