while there was pushto there until 1857 (and beyond) even thyen it had slowly given way to urdu among people. generation after generation, pushto was decreasing in the percentage of newgeneration that spoke it.
Roillas didnot get that scattered, vast majority of them stayed there, the change was that aside from rampur and bareilly, they moved to other parts of of the state i.e. saharanpur, ambetta etc.
I know that history very well :)
yes true, 40% of that area are still roillas
