Le Pak, as I had said earlier, it’s just a guess on my part. I do not know why the BIL is equated to death. I have not researched the reference. Any guy would be death to a woman’s marriage if she does not honor it and remain within limits. But if special attention is given to a BIL in the hadith, then the only reason that comes to my mind is the proximity/exposure of the relationship. Maybe I am wrong, maybe there are other reasons…I dunno. It’s just a guess.
