Are Music and Poetry time-bound?

By time-bound I mean two aspects.

  1. If particular raag or kind of poetry (sad, happiness) affect more, when listened / read at particular time of day.. like sad music/ songs in night? I’m just listening to ‘Raat pheli hai tere surmai aanchal ki tarah’… Its around 3 am in Pakistan… before that I was listening ‘Kuch to hawa bhi sard thi’. I’m sad now :frowning:

  2. If particular form of poetry lost its popularity and acceptance, with the passage of time. In 1965 war Pakistan produced so many motivational songs, which are still popular.. we are in more tense situation now, but we don’t produce such stuff. why?

Re: Are Music and Poetry time-bound?

why songs like 'ae puttar hatta te nai wikde' are not produced any more? kia puttar bik gaye? As they say Musharraf sold people for dollars.
