Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
well the bowlers need to tighten up their line and length, no more short balls please, and bowl more yorkers.
the batsmen need to play fearlessly, not be nervous, and be confident.
the fielding needs to be better, it was completely silly in the past few games, even against ireland. how can u drop sitter catches which come straight into your hands !?
fielding coach needs to step up.
I don't like this Adelaide oval, ****ty ground for sliding
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
Yes..they could be cornered tigers..sure. However..i was bit appointment with dropped catches and mis-fielding. Players weren't running when the bowler doing the runner up for bowling.
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
Why, are they an endangered species?
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
They have been playing well for the last 4 games. The bowlers have definitely stepped up their game and Sarfraz has brought a lot of energy to the team. They are still making a few mistakes in the fielding, which I think they always will. We've never been an excellent fielding side. But if we want to win against Australia, there is absolutely no room for mistakes because they will make you pay.
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
Aus are not so mighty anymore as they used to be. Now they can crumble as easily.
Pak batting just needs to take them to task, once their bowlers get hit for some boundaries they lose their line/length VERY quickly, even starc or johnson......they are not as great as everyone thinks they are.
hope pak can win the toss this time around

No they are not.

The stats they showed yesterday on screen tell that 70% of the wickets taken by left arm pacers were in the short and good length.
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
Pak have won 4 games in a row but to be frank three of those games you expected them to win
Real test will be the Australia game (60:40 in favour of Australia imo)

They have still so many ODI match winners...Finch, Warner, dangerman Maxwell, Starc. Faulkner is a powerful hitter. Also Watson is slowly coming back into form. Johnson is due a good game.
Re: Are Misbah's men World Cup's cornered tigers?
Don't read to much in these wins, let us c which Pakistani team is going to be in the ground on that particular day.

I agree. Don't under estimate the short ball, particularly in larger stadiums of Australia

60:40 is quite generous, no?
