I have seen many Indian/Bangladeshi(Hindu) friends coming on GS,posting their views,obviously some of these views good,some bad…Pakistanis as a nation(similarly those abroad),haven’t lived with any certain amount of Hindu friends/population around…so there is definitely certain views that have been made in our minds especially by seeing Indian movies & reading media news etc,though most of us,i am pretty sure don’t know how the Hindu culture goes…what we know is mostly from the same films & media…
To cut it short,while living in Pakistan,we knew a Hindu family(a well established one)…where aunty was the principal of a local school…Whenever she was inivited to a party everyone first used to startle at her name(Usha aunty),then out of curiosity the news used to be spread all over the party that there is a Hindu woman there…then we kids in Pakistan used to make a queue to see her (to see what Hindu woman looks like,someone may even try to touch her)…Some aunties from the area may even gossip,on her Hinduism…
So I didn’t post the thread to comment on how good or bad Hindu culture/religion is & whether Pakistan was created as an Islamic state & there is or there isn’t any role of Secularism/Tolerance…But just to say thatr there is a general law in this world…To live & to let Live…The amount of anymosity between different people without knowing each other well…just create some inbred hatered in the future generations & the same foolish ugliness of arguements & fightings…
^^ Leaders stay in power by mobilizing people thru religion etc and dividing them by pointing out their differences...also life would be terribly boring for some if they didnt bash a certain people.
^ Yes....or people start staring at her so hard that she would feel embarrased of her own existence in the party....Anyways it may not be that bad for her as she may have got accustomed to all these things...My mumaani had a very good friendship with her & she went to her daughters wedding too as both of their daughters were friends....
guys honestly this is wrong, this site is turning into a racist site where we cant have a normal conversation without being labelled a hindu or muslim, and do remember that we as paki's cant take a joke, if PD or queer or some other guppie makes a joke about pak. everyone is on there throat.
It’s wrong to treat a human being like an exhibit at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. I’m astonished at the Pakistanis who actually lined up and stared. And as Pakis, if we can’t take a joke, how did we survive this long? We’re the punchline to many a joke.

I work in a multi-cultural, multi-religious environment.. one of my nicest friends is a hindu… & I know alotta others who R just real nice!
One of my favorite attendings is a religious Jew.. & we always talk about our religions.
Religious based hatred is some thing that has been put into people’s minds. Alhamdulillah I am not from such a family. I will always support Muslims (with a right cause) first, but that does not mean I should hate everyone else!
Saimanyc…It was not only because she was a Hindu…It was also due to the fact that she was atleast 250 Ibs…making her the center of attention…Anyways as i already mentioned,this was wrong…& no body should be made aware of their existence for any reason…
