140 million muslims are residing in 'your' territory, that is there own territory. Inhabited by them for centuries. If they have accepted Islam doesn't mean that you have the right to kick them out.
Historically Hinduism enslaved more than 90% of it's non Brahmin followers by subjecting them to the horrors of the caste system. Even today, Hindu majority India is unable to escape and has to look towards finding solutions that satisfy the vast majority of oppressed Hindus. Some have converted to Islam historically and some convert to Buddhism and Christianity these days becaue they see no future for themselves within Hinduism itself. In India, under the constitution a Buddhist is considered a Hindu as are Jains and SIkhs - if they were classed as separate religions there would be less Hindus overall than the current census percentages would lead us to believe. ANd the conversions are increasing forcing some Brahmin ruled states like Tamil Nadu to ban conversions to other religions though there is nothing that they can do about conversions to Buddhism because, constitutionally, it is the same religion.
The Hindu dominated political parties like the BJP, VHP etc are militantly anti not just Muslims and Christians they also have shown themselves are caste supremacist on more than one occasion. And they have killed many low caste Hindus in central India through their fanatical para militaries like the Ranbir Sena as they have killed Muslims in communal riots. It must make them feel very brave to kill innocent people, especially those who are helpless to fight back and poor as well.

There are some points which I want to raise,
the civil laws are common between Hindus, Budhist, jains and Sikhs, but they are not catogorised as Hindus in govt census. Muslims and Christians are given special treatment, because they asked for it.
Hinduism had flows, but hinduism evolves just like humans. Brahmins and the upper cast did try to suppress the people but there were people among these caste who fought for the rights of the underprivilaged and low cast people. Besides if u know a little bit about the political situation u know how much clout the lower cast people hold.
Buddhists are considered a separate religion by India's constitution. Jains and Sikhs are considered Hindus not only by the constitution, but by Jains and Sikhs themselves. When this decree was announced by the Supreme court, there was not a whisper of protest. Anyway, your argument that Jains and Sikhs are declared Hindus to increase Hindu percentages is also flawed, because together they form only 25 million of India's 1 billion population. Sikhs and Jains are sub-sects or sub-castes in Hinduism depending upon whom you ask. To me they are subsects.
