Mamaof3: Your insight in the current Western corporate culture is exactly what I have observed as well. Women who are not exactly performing at the same level as their male-counterparts but still are performing decently will be given preference for promotions over their male-counterparts. Gender diversity in companies has become a prestige issue. So my advise to all the capable ladies out there is to do their best and make a kill now.

The company that I work for goes directly to the best Engineering universities in Pakistan (and other countries) and picks up all the interested ladies who finish their universities in the top 10. For the last 3 years, the male/female hiring ratio has been 30/70 from Pakistan only.

Fighting and bit^&ing only takes you one step up. You work takes you to the top.

This is exactly what i mean when feminazi's blame men for their ills. PCG's example of a woman who is hard working yadda yadda yadda but does not get promoted does not automatically mean she didn't get it because she was a woman. The following can happen

1. Someone was better
2. Nepotism
3. Someone curried favor and brown-nosed
4. She was not qualified that specific position
5. There are restrictions on what she can and can not do.

All these come into play first before oh she is a female lets not promote her.

That my dear ladies is a feminazi. Someone who blames men regardless of what the situation is.

Why are you guys focusing on promotions?

Its a fact that men statistically and historically have received promotions over women, although yes, recently, it has changed quite a bit due to gender diversification. I think that's improvement actually and about time, however there are negatives to it. Of course a company might hire a female who is not as qualified over a male that is better qualified just to say they have a woman in that department. There are always people who will abuse gender rights, and there is no excuse for it. To that I absolutely agree.

However, lets also talk about salaries. Its a statistic FACT that women receive a lesser salary for doing the same job that a man would be hired to do. How in the heck does that make sense? And no, it does seem like a trivial matter unless you were the woman who was getting paid a smaller salary.

Honestly, people here for the most part are not being abused by the men in their lives. But that doesn't mean that respecting women is not a topic worth topic about or working for, or raising awareness about. There are still even in this day, in all countries, cultures, and creeds women who are having problems even securing basic rights. I don't see anything stupid about working on these problems, and I don't see a woman who pipes up about these issues as a "nazi".

Honestly, a "Nazi" is a highly derogatory and disrespectful term and I'm still shocked that its used in a serious manner to describe feminists, by people who are living comfortable and freedom-enriched lives, BECAUSE of feminists.

Some women really are not appreciative. If they had to live the Pre-Feminist Era lives, then they probably would respect the place that feminism has had in our history.

What really klls me is the influence of religion on this, when ironically, Islam is a highly feminist religion.

PCG Islam does not have equal rights for men and women. In Islam men and women do not have equal rights. They have equal and shared responsibilities. They do not have equal rights.

Also a feminist is not a feminazi. Two different things.

A feminist is a normal female or male. One who believes in equality between men and women.

A feminazi is one who blames men irrantionally for all her problems.

I’ve seen and experienced this phenomenon of feminazis. What I get out of the whole thing is…RELAX ladies. When you go into a career that mainly consists of men, have patience, foreboding and dedication. THATS what will get you so much further than anything else. WHen you start with all the bra-burning type of crap, STEE-Rike! YER OUT!! But prove yourself and your abilities and you will go so very much further than a male of the SAME ability. Yup, you’re a gal … but IF you can adhere to what I’ve just said, you are SUCH a corporate asset. As far as all the bra burning rah rah female sheet, well they are just very misguided and are putting efforts into something that causes nothing but more mis-judgements against women. Be QUIET, DO YOUR WORK and do it WELL. It will not go un-noticed. And something that is SO much a plus is that you DONT have to give up being a woman to be successful. ENJOY being a woman cause thats what you ARE…dont fight it, work with it.

This is the smartest post regarding feminism I’ve seen in a LONG time. Well said.

i should open a new thread about this “are feminazi’s hurting the cause of women rights/equality” all they do is biatch and moan about every little thing and by doing so alienate themselves into a group which is not so warm or welcoming to people who would like to help them.

everyone knows and understands that there are women all over the world who are in desperate need of basic rights and freedom, but instead of doing it one step at a time, the women rights groups want more then what they can swallow.

A feminazi is a female who does not take responsibility for her own circumstances, instead blames the opposite gender for her situation. Additionally she believes because she is female she is superior to the other gender. Of course this smacks of racism and facism. Its no different than saying whites are better then blacks then it is to say women are better than men.

Feminazis have one aim. To blame men for all their problems. If you get dumped men are *******s. If you don’t get a job men are *******s. If you get knocked up men are *******s. It is blame displacement becaue they do not wish to take responsibility for anything they do.

Gupshup is a perfect example of that.
