Buddy, I am not going to detail out the specifics of feeling the right amount of remorse to beg for forgiveness and the entire thought process for this to make my point. Now you are just overreacting like usual.
*If someone gives enough of a sht about following religious rules and changing their ways for the better after engaging in whatever sinful behavior they did to sincerely beg for forgiveness and move on to more holy behavior, then the deed is done. There are plenty of Muslims who will swear up and down that they are practicing but still engage in behavior that is “sinful” and it doesn’t give them any internal struggles. They just have their fun and are content with themselves. The cop out advice is for those who care, who will feel guilty about this type of behavior, and who will want to move on and be more religious in the future. It is not that deep.
