I have seen lots of chinese cosmetics everywhere and I was wondering if they were safe to use ?

To be honest , It depends what country you buy them from. Say if you live in Europe ... we have strict import laws which ensures that no unsafe products reach the end consumer. But if I were to buy cosmetics from china in Pakistan, I would think twice ...
Most big cosmetic companies that do not manufacture their own cosmetics , buy them from chinese market and rebrand them in the UK or any other country. So there is nothing wrong with their tested products .. but like i said, these countries have stricts laws to protect the consumer.

**I live in Europe but I have seen lots of chinese cosmetics here. The lip gloss who's in a weird plastic tube. The eye liner with a kind of platics piece instead of the brush.
That's why I was wondering if they were safe or not.

Well Sidra , since you live in Europe , then I guess you are safe to use them. EU has very strict cosmetic import regulations and if anyone is caught violating them , they are fined very very heavily. So if the product is on the shelf , you are safe … if you are buying from some unknown sources or individuals … then I would say dont buy them …
LP, I dont know about saudi really , but I know about Dubai really well .. they dont have any regulations to protect the consumer , so really you , yourself have to decide whether you should take the risk of using any product or the trusted ones

for ksa, only buy it from shops like gazzaz, mikayeji, sephora, debhanhams, etc or the pharmacies... i wouldnt buy them from bin dawood or such grocery stores although they are sold there too... just any reputable store would do.
and definately not from balad! ive seen that plastic brush with cosmetics from china and its always been at the 10 riyal shop or in one of those questionable shops downtown. hehe
